We are part of this universe; we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts, is that the universe is in us. ~ Neil DeGrasse Tyson
We are energy. We are the stars and the trees and everything in between. When we vibrate to a certain frequency, we attract, we thrive, we blossom, or the opposite is true when we vibrate a low frequency and disconnect to the universal energy. When our energy field is weak and small, we feel separate and disconnected.
There is an intelligence that has created you and me, the earth, the stars and the flowers and has given life to everything. Sometimes we feel seperate to this intelligence, or God, or Universe, or Mother Nature (whatever you wish to name it) that gives us life. When we are stressed or sad and feel powerless, we feel separate; we feel unsupported; we feel defeated and we seek outside of ourselves for something to make us feel good and empowered once again.
This is human and normal in small doses and for temporary periods. But, our essence is wholeness and connection – connection to the powers of the Universe, the intelligence, the waves of energy that we can vibrate with or vibrate against.
When we vibrate wholeness and love, we are connected to this infinite quantum field of possibilities (or the Universe), and our thoughts + feelings carry messages and create good things and good feelings!
You know those days: when you feel happy for no reason, and the day flows and you have not really tried hard. Those days when you say: “I’m in the flow.” That flow is connection to the Universe or vibrating (you are energy remember) to the coherent rhythm of All That Is.
And so, here is where this guided meditation comes in. When we feel connected to our inner power and the higher powers (which is in us and we are in it), our energetic body syncs with our physical body : we feel supported, we have faith in the divine, we have tuned our body towards health and vitality.
There are four parts of the meditation. Jenny will begin with an inspiring and powerful introduction easing into the practice with the sounds of the Tibetan bowls in the background that continue throughout. This is intentional, and the sounds and vibrations induce a relaxed, trance-like state to help quieten your mind.
In this calm and relaxed state, with Jenny’s soft and hypnotic voice, you will be guided to breathe mindfully and deeply, becoming aware of your body, deepening your relaxed state. Your attention will continue to go inward as the external distractions fade away. (This breath part of the meditation is useful to be listened to separately whenever you feel a need to stop and pause in your day.)
In this creative part of the meditation (track 3), Jenny will invite you to see and sense (to see/imagine and also sense is the key here) connection to the Divine Source /Universal Energy with empowering and nourishing words and images. You will mentally, emotionally and creatively see and sense yourself as connected to Source, and purifying your body and field with the Creator’s power and energy.
Finally, you will be guided gently to return to the ever-magical present moment, and continue to be in this new state, seeing and feeling yourself anew, connected and no longer separate. Furthermore, the depth of relaxation will be profound.
It is a beautiful meditation, and it is a favourite amongst many.
Best meditating practice:
Staying conscious with a relaxed body is the optimal state, to be able to slip into the alpha brain wave state and beyond. This is the state for creating…
For best listening and meditation, here are some tips:
⊹Please wear headphones or use stereo sound speakers (great for yoga/meditation class! Try it for Savasana or yoga nidra!)
⊹An eye mask might be appropriate to block out any other sensory stimulation.
⊹Find a comfortable position –
⊹Sit upright in a chair with good back support and feet touching the floor, or
⊹A seated meditation position with legs crossed in front of you, or
⊹A Japanese style seated position with a cushion under your bottom, and hands resting on your lap.
⊹Alternatively, you may lie down, however you may fall asleep! I recommend that if you do lay down, lie in a semi-supine position: legs/feet resting on a chair at 90 degrees to the floor)
⊹Feel the feelings of having/being/doing that which you desire. Get emotional!
⊹Finally, give thanks at the end of the meditation for your new state of Being and new life.
Give thanks as if your prayers have been answered.
